Privacy policy
Short version: we collect only what we need to plan your trip, we never sell it, and you can ask for it — or its deletion — any time.
What we collect
- Enquiry & booking details — name, contact details, travel preferences, party composition and any information you share so we can plan and operate your journey.
- Planner inputs — the answers you give Lief (dates, interests, budget band). Used to generate your itinerary; stored with your enquiry only if you send it to us.
- Newsletter — your email address, if you subscribe. Every letter has a working unsubscribe link.
What we don’t do
- No sale or rental of personal data. Ever.
- No third-party advertising trackers on this site.
- No storing of payment card numbers on our systems — payments run through PCI-DSS-certified providers.
Why we process data
To respond to enquiries and operate bookings (contract), to meet bookkeeping and package-travel obligations (legal duty), and to send the newsletter you asked for (consent, withdrawable any time).
Sharing
Booking details go to the hotels, transport providers and local partners who deliver your journey — only what each needs. Suppliers outside the EEA receive data under standard contractual clauses.
Retention
Enquiries that don’t become bookings: deleted after 24 months. Booking records: kept 5 years under Norwegian bookkeeping law, then deleted. Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion, portability and objection — email privacy@tripnord.no and we respond within 30 days. You may also complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
Cookies
This site uses only technically necessary storage (for example, remembering that you closed a notice). No consent walls because there’s nothing to consent to.
